Total Rewards Strategy Survey Overview

Over the past decade, far more companies have adopted a Total Rewards mindset. Rather than looking at programs on a one-off basis, they understand the value of creating an ecosystem of connected and self-reinforcing employee offerings.

While this is an important sea change in the right direction, the current pandemic is a stark reminder that total rewards strategies need to evolve on a regular basis to meet changing business and employee needs while delivering maximum ROI. Today, companies face growing pressure to manage costs and boost short-term financial performance without eroding workforce productivity and wellbeing.

This means business leaders are actively looking to HR to accomplish more with less, yet many practitioners don’t know exactly what levers to pull to drive meaningful change. Our survey seeks to illuminate the path forward by understanding where leaders see opportunities for improvement. Covered topics include:

  • Understanding short- and long-term business and talent priorities;
  • Discovering where companies have generated more value without spending more;

    Yes, this survey is different. While we conducted six pulse surveys in 2020 examining the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on HR policies and practices, this survey is focused on leadership-level priorities related to total rewards strategy and maximizing the ROI of total rewards programs in the future.
  • Who should complete this survey?
    Senior business leaders (e.g., CEO, CFO, COO), senior HR leaders (e.g., CHRO, Chief People Officer), or senior HR function leaders (e.g., Head of HR Administration, Head of Total Rewards) who have ownership over total rewards investments and strategy are encouraged to complete this survey.
  • How long will it take to complete the survey?
    In most cases, this survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. However, some participants may take longer based on your company's specific practices.
  • What type of demographic data is collected in this survey?
    This survey includes questions about your role and your company’s industry, business profile and geographic span.
  • When does this survey close?
    This survey will close on Friday, April 23, 2021.
